Stephen Colbert called out an unusual interview exchange from Donald Trump. During an exchange with journalist Sharyl Attkisson, Trump opened up about his health habits.
“Attkisson asked Trump how he stays healthy,” Colbert said. “And he was weird.”
When asked about his diet, Trump claimed he tries to eat properly, saying, “I try and eat properly.”
Attkisson then called out his fondness for hamburgers.
Trump acknowledged this, saying, “I do. But proper hamburgers.”
Colbert humorously mimicked Trump, joking that these “proper hamburgers” are dressed up like Mayor McCheese.
“Proper hamburgers, not renegade hamburgers, not outlaw hamburgers,” Colbert mocked.
“I only eat the most proper hamburgers. These are hamburgers wearing a necktie, a little top hat, and a sash that says ‘Mayor McCheese.’ How he screams when I bite him,” he added.
