At the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, Taylor Swift became the most-decorated winner of all time, amassing a total of 49 career trophies. The achievement surpasses her previous tie with Drake, who now has 42 wins after receiving three awards at the event.

Swift said, “Everything that’s happened with the Eras Tour and ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ I just have to say thank you. It means the world to me that you guys have embraced the things I’ve made and the fact that you’ve cared so much about my music.”

Swift noted that “this is the nicest early birthday present” she could have received. “It’s exactly what I wanted.”

Swift secured 10 awards at the BBMA, including Top Artist and Top Female Artist. In 2022, she became the first artist to occupy all top 10 positions on the Billboard Hot 100 with songs from her album “Midnights.”

Swift holds records for the most wins at the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards. Swift has also won four Grammy Awards for Album of the Year, making her the most-awarded artist in that category. As of December 2023, she has registered 118 Guinness World Records.

Swift released her debut album in 2006 and gained recognition with her second album, Fearless, which won multiple awards. Her third album, Speak Now, yielded Grammy wins for the single “Mean,” while her fourth album, Red, marked her transition from country to pop music.

With the release of 1989 in 2014, Swift officially entered the pop genre, winning Grammy Awards for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. She received the Taylor Swift Award at the 2016 BMI Pop Awards, becoming only the second artist to have an award named after them.

Swift’s subsequent albums, Reputation and Lover, further solidified her status, with Lover earning her the title of Artist of the Decade at the American Music Awards.

Swift’s Folklore made her the first woman to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year three times. Her later albums, Evermore and Midnights, continued her success, with Midnights winning Album of the Year at the Grammys.
